- Ensure the chicken wings are completely dry by patting them with paper towels. Place the dried wings in a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, mix together the baking powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with avocado oil. Arrange the wings in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if needed.
- Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time. The wings are ready when they are golden brown, crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the wings rest for a minute before tossing in your favorite sauce or serving as is. Enjoy immediately.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, after seasoning, you can let them rest on a wire rack in the refrigerator for a few hours to dry out the skin even more.
