Ingredients

Primary Ingredients
  • 1 lb (454g) fresh green beans trimmed and dried
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) light olive oil high smoke point
  • 3 cloves (15g) garlic freshly minced
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) coarse sea salt flakes preferred
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper freshly ground

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer Large capacity preferred
  • 1 Mixing Bowl Large
  • 1 Tongs Silicone tipped

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the fresh green beans and pat them thoroughly dry with a towel to ensure a crispy texture.
  2. Trim the stem ends and place beans in a bowl. Toss with 1 tbsp (15ml) light olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
Air Frying
  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Air fry the beans for 4 minutes.
  2. Open the basket, add minced garlic, and toss. Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the beans are blistered and the garlic is golden-brown.

Notes

Use fresh beans for the best snap; frozen beans will not blister as well.
Add garlic halfway through to prevent burning while ensuring it sautes fully.
