  • 12 oz (340g) Wide Wavy Egg Noodles Cooked al dente
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz / 298g each) Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup Beige sauce base
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Whole Milk To thin the sauce
  • 2 cups (226g) Sharp Cheddar Cheese Freshly shredded
  • 1 tsp (5g) Dried Parsley Flakes For garnish
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) Olive Oil For searing
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) Onion Powder

Equipment

  • 1 Rectangular White Ceramic Baking Dish 9x13 inch
  • 1 Large Skillet For browning beef
  • 1 Large pot For boiling noodles

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook egg noodles in salted boiling water for 2 minutes less than the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add ground beef and sear until browned crumbles form. Season with salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together mushroom soup and milk until smooth and beige. Fold in the beef and noodles.
  2. Transfer to a white ceramic dish. Top with a heavy layer of cheddar cheese. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes until bubbly with golden patches.
  3. Scatter dried parsley flakes evenly over the melted cheese before serving.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt.
Don't overcook the noodles initially; they soften in the oven.
