- Add cold buttermilk to the dry mix. Fold with a spatula until a wet, shaggy dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Pour the dough into the hot melted butter. Spread gently to the edges and score into squares with a knife.

- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is deeply browned and craggy. Let cool for 5 minutes to absorb excess butter.
