Prepare the Base
- Place the block of cream cheese in a shallow white ceramic bowl and let it sit at room temperature for 60 minutes until soft and matte.
Make the Herb Butter Sauce
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter until liquid but not bubbling.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 30-45 seconds until fragrant and translucent; do not brown.
- Stir in the yellow mustard, cayenne flakes, black pepper, and salt until a glossy, thick yellow sauce forms.
- Remove from heat and fold in 1.5 tbsp of the chopped parsley.
Assemble and Serve
- Slowly pour the warm herb butter over the cream cheese block, allowing it to cascade down the sides.
- Top with the remaining parsley and serve immediately with crackers or bread.
