Prepare the Garlic Rice
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic until golden and fragrant.
- Add rinsed rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low for 15-18 minutes until fluffy.
Sear the Chicken
- Coat chicken strips heavily in Cajun seasoning.
- Heat oil in a skillet and sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until a deep golden-brown crust forms. Remove and set aside.
Make the Sauce and Assemble
- In the same skillet, whisk heavy cream, broth, tomato paste, and remaining spices. Simmer until thick and velvety.
- Return chicken to the pan to coat in the vibrant orange-red sauce. Serve over the garlic rice with parsley and red pepper flakes.

Use room temperature cream to prevent the sauce from breaking.
