Assembly and Baking
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a white ceramic dish.
- Fold each slice of ham and layer it densely over the bottom rolls. Cover the ham with Swiss cheese slices and place roll tops back on.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in mustard, poppy seeds, minced onion, and Worcestershire. Simmer until onions are translucent.
- Brush the glaze generously over the buns. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5-10 more minutes until glossy and golden brown.
Notes
Fold the ham rather than laying it flat to create more surface area for the cheese to melt into.
