Prepare the Liquid
- Sprinkle gelatin over 1 cup of cold distilled water and let sit for 2 minutes.
- Add 1 cup of boiling water and whisk until the gelatin is completely transparent and dissolved.
Assemble the Jar
- Stir in salt and essential oils. Add food coloring if desired to reach a translucent amber tone.
- Pour a layer of gel into the mason jar, add orange slices and cinnamon sticks, and let set partially in the fridge before adding the final layer.
Notes
Use non-iodized salt to prevent the gel from becoming cloudy.
