Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
  • 2 lbs Chicken Breast Cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup Wildflower Honey
  • 1/4 cup Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Neutral Searing Oil Avocado or grapeseed
  • 1 tbsp Toasted White Sesame Seeds For garnish
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Finely chopped

Equipment

  • 12 Wooden Skewers Soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • 1 Cast Iron Grill Pan Or outdoor grill
  • 1 Silicone Basting Brush

Method

Preparation
  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent charring.
  2. Cube chicken breast into 1-inch (2.5cm) pieces and pat thoroughly dry with paper towels.
Cooking
  1. Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Thread chicken onto skewers. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Sear skewers for 3-4 minutes per side until dark charred edges appear.
  3. Brush the thick glaze onto the chicken during the final 3 minutes of cooking, flipping to ensure a glossy amber coating.
  4. Remove from heat and immediately top with a heavy sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Soak wooden skewers for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
Apply the glaze only in the last few minutes to prevent the honey from burning.
