  • 1 lb bulk pork sausage Ensure it's sugar-free.
  • 12 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Divided.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the bulk sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess grease and spread it evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese over the sausage.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and cheese. Top with the remaining 1 cup of cheese.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  7. Let the egg bake rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
