Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough Such as Pillsbury Grands!
  • 32 slices pepperoni
  • 4 oz low-moisture mozzarella cheese cut into 8 cubes
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce warmed, for dipping

Equipment

  • 1 Baking Sheet
  • 1 Small Bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Separate the 8 biscuits.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, press or roll each biscuit into a 3 to 4-inch circle.
  3. In the center of each dough circle, place 4 slices of pepperoni and one cube of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bring the edges of the dough up and over the filling, pinching firmly to seal completely. Roll gently between your hands to form a smooth ball.
  5. Place the pizza bombs seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the tops of the pizza bombs. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving with warm marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Tip 1: Ensure the bombs are sealed very well to prevent cheese from leaking during baking.
Tip 2: Do not overcrowd the baking sheet; leave space for the bombs to expand.
Tip 3: For an extra touch, sprinkle with a little grated Parmesan cheese before baking.
